House music has been one of the foundational genres of the electronic dance movement since 1988 when disco disc jockeys started seamlessly mixing records and sampling catchy beats to keep the dancefloor pumping.

DJ Sage (Peng Records - Phat Phunk Records) brings DJing back to its fundamentals: 2 tracks mixing to build a new sound. Most recognized as the founder of the world’s first, (and still largest) music education websites (macProVideo.com, Ask.Video, Ask.Audio), DJ Sage (AKA Martin S.) is a dedicated House Music evangelist with a long history in the local EDM scene. After a years-long hiatus to focus on Homesteading on Salt Spring Island, DJ Sage is back(!), bringing his signature Beat-Building, Big-Mixing Sound to Moby’s for a debut night of grindy-choons with Boomtown.

Boomtown is the Bass music project of Laughlin Meagher. Through his work as a live musician & touring artist, electronic music has always been a passionate mode of expression for this dynamic performer. With 30 years on stage & 17 years behind the decks, Boomtown is known for his taste in music, his harmonica solos, skill on the melodica, live MCing, vocals, and guitar. Boomtown spent 2013 Touring North America with Kytami performing live DJ/Multi Instrumental sets at over 14 festivals, 7 US States, 5 Provinces and countless clubs and venues. Boomtown is available for DJ sets, as a Live Musician for studio or Tour work and also moonlights as an sound tech, Stage manager and is currently producing with his new band Tripp the System.
